Our Executive David Crutcher has been working very hard for the cause and has conducted interviews across Canada. Whether it be on QR77, CTV, 660 News, the National Post, Toronto Sun or many Blogs, David Crutcher is getting or message out. The following is just some examples of what is being said. "New group calls for separatist West...The political mess consuming Canada has angered a group of Western Canadian businesses enough for them to call for the separation of Western Canada from the rest of the country" "The newly minted Western Business and Taxpayers Association announced on Thursday that it was officially launching a campaign: The West Wants Out. "If Central Canada does not get its way, they find loopholes to do so," said executive director David Crutcher, who says the association already has the support of several senior MPs, MLAs and business leaders....Bad blood in the West could linger for a generation" "Vexed west rises against power grab" "Coup creates separation anxiety....While the knee-jerk response from fringe western separatists is to be expected, it's sad, defeatist and pigheaded" "...a new B. C., Alberta and Saskatchewan separatist organization was launched by the Western Business and Taxpayers Association. The Blogs are even talking about the WBTA "Looks like Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia are becoming serious about having their own sovereignty movement/party. What is more, unlike in Québec, this one is being driven by individual citizens and businesses" "Right now it sounds like a joke, the old crew from the Reform Party crazy train revving up their electric walkers" |

New group calls for separatist West |

The political mess consuming Canada has angered a group of Western Canadian businesses enough for them to call for the separation of Western Canada from the rest of the country. The idea sounds ludicrous, especially when one imagines what would be left of Canada after a three-way split. But it is clear that voters in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Alberta want their voices heard. |
